CTC system under jmri

My current dispatcher panels:

NO programming code is necessary.  All is designed from a GUI Editor with drop downs.  It can also partially design the screen images you see above.  Presently, this software is being incorporated directly into JMRI.  Expect it in the next JMRI 4.18 release (in the future).  Features supported:

  • Time locking interval, can be different for each  O.S. section.
  • Fleeting support.
  • Signal Direction Indicators.
  • Signal Direction Levers.
  • Switch Direction Indicators.
  • Switch Direction Levers.
  • Indication locking using default O.S. section signals (IndicationLocking).
  • Indication locking using provided signal list (IndicationLockingSignals).
  • Support for O.S. section occupancy to lock out dispatcher from changing anything.
  • Turnout locking (preventing users in the field from manually throwing switches), with optional dispatcher grants.
  • Call On support (uni-directional or bi-directional supported).
  • Code buttons (may or may not have combinations of all of the above features for each one).
  • Optional: No code button for tower use (i.e. simulate a tower operation).

Other supported features that are not shown or obvious in this example file:

  • Interlocking rules whereby O.S. sections are "tied together" (Interlocking sequencing).
  • Route Locking.
  • Time Locking.
  • Traffic Locking.
  • Support for interface(s) to other "simultaneous" CTC machines, on my layout there is a Minneapolis Terminal Manager physical panel (instead of a computer displayed one).
  • Support for real instead of JMRI displayed CTC machines.
  • Support for restricting aspect.
  • Support for (optional feature) preconditioning (aka stacking).
  • Many other minor items......

This software has the same major features as Dr. Bruce Chubb's CTC system.  Please send me an email message by pressing "Back to main..." below.  My software is trivial to configure and run, no programming ability necessary.  You MUST have a complete understanding of how CTC works though, which is a complex subject.
